Title: Product Quality & Certification Analyst
Location: Medley, FL
Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 hourly
Duration: 6 Months
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in US

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Preferred major in Engineering.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Quality Control, experienced in developing and executing product testing plans; experienced in Monitoring and documenting process metrics using statistical analysis.
  • List minimum job content knowledge required to perform this job.
  • Must have a working knowledge of quality control methodologies.
  • Must have worked with software systems, computer literacy; MS office is essential.
  • Must have excellent skills developing and executing Quality Control Plans
  • Experience and /or training in six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques or a Green Belt certification is desirable but not required.
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control / ISO 9001 / Design of Experiments / Sampling Plans is desirable but not required.
  • Effective communication skills; computer literacy; MS Office expertise; ability to read/interpret prints; and capability of working independently and as a team member.
  • Knowledgeable with respect to quality control standards and systems, regulatory standards, supplier management, manufacturing/ product development, material flows, and general Product Quality Control principles.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Bilingual, English, and Spanish preferred but not required.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs testing and evaluation of handsets, (partially finished or finished product), for functional specifications. Coordinates product timelines and certifications with applicable business and manufacturers.
  • Coordinates, and execute effective testing plans with field and internal representatives for, First Article Inspection, Product Validation, and/or other related projects.
  • Monitors process metrics and identifies trends and keeps departmental documentation to ensure quality standards are upheld and applies statistical sampling using Six Sigma techniques for process improvements and cost reductions initiatives.
  • Supports the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Development and Certification Procedures associated with new product releases.
  • Reviews and maintains product certification records for all new products in accordance with applicable standards and good manufacturing practices to ensure efficiency of product certification process, including Engineering Certification, Network and Carrier Approvals, Security Certification, Bill of Materials specifications, Back-end SQA Certification, and First Article Inspection verification.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for testing and evaluation of new devices, and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data, including, First Article Inspection, Product Validation, and/or other related projects.
  • Responsible to support and perform routine and special assignments as requested, monitors departmental documentation and activities, ensures quality standards/regulations are upheld and applies regulatory knowledge and/or statistical sampling to establish process metrics and identify trends, process improvements and cost reductions to daily activities.
  • Responsible for supporting the administration, implementation, and release of good quality product.
  • Supports corporate strategic goals and objectives through quality control and certification of new product development and product improvement projects.
