Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The Project Manager II is responsible for managing assigned projects utilizing the processes, guidelines, systems, templates and forms set forth by the Project Management Office (PMO).  The Project Manager II is expected to manage several medium-complexity projects simultaneously and lead medium sized project teams (10-20 people).  In addition, the Project Manager II is expected to be a leader within the PMO and therefore lead by example in presence, communication, and professionalism.              

Principal Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                ●            Work with cross-functional business client and IT teams to understand and document project objectives, scope, requirements, milestone, deliverables, schedule and cost estimates.  Coordinate vendor evaluations and demonstrations; and support vendor negotiations, vendor deliverable tracking and invoice processing (when applicable).           

40% of time ●            Monitor and control each project by tracking, reviewing and communicating progress to project stakeholders. To include risk and issue management, decision and action item tracking.

 30% of time ●            Prepare for and lead project team meetings. Including creation and distribution of meeting agendas and meeting notes.        

15% of time ●            Participate in continual process improvement within the PMO   
 5% of time ●            Acts as a mentor to the PMO team         
 2.5% of time ●            Stays abreast of current project management trends and makes recommendations for self-development              
 2.5% of time ●            Perform other job-related duties as assigned      
 Bachelor's Degree in related field List specific examples of degree(s) and/or area(s) of study denoting if required or preferred:             Specific degree in this field: Business or Information Technology ●           

 Years of related experience required: 5+ years (Required) ●            Specific type of related experience required for this role: Project management.  Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple medium complexity projects at once.

 (Required) ●            Specific type of related experience preferred for this role: information technology and/or banking/financial industry preferred. (Preferred) ●            Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification     Preferred ●            Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of staff and management        Required ●            Confidence in leading medium sized project teams and meetings              Required ●            Attention to detail and ability to work across functions                 Required ●            Ability to prioritize work within time constraints               Required ●            Strong organizational and follow-up skills             Required ●            Strong relationship-building and customer service skills  Required ●            Experience with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies              Preferred ●            Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point, Project, SharePoint, and Visio); Experience working with HP Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM) and Atlassian JIRA         Preferred
