    Responsibilities
    •Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) based on open source technologies is regularly maintained
    •and released to production without any downtime
    •Increase the effectiveness, reliability and performance of container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) by identifying
    •and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results
    •Ensure that the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) is maintained properly by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.
    •Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker based PaaS platform
    •Design and implement required failover mechanisms within the Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems
    •Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Docker and Kubernetes environment
    •Develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation in support of Docker and Kubernetes container
    •orchestration platform
    •Ensure uptime SLA for our SaaS infrastructure, services and applications as part of the global DevOps team
    •Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly uptime and status reports for production and critical internal infrastructure

    Required skills/competencies:
    •5+ years of experience in the field of data centre infrastructure management (UNIX/Docker/ Kubernetes/ Microservices)
    •Built and managed a container orchestration platform from the ground up
    •Must have proven prior experience in managing a large K8S cluster and scaling it significantly at enterprise scale
    •Must be well versed in generic administration tasks of managing Docker images, container networking and standard
    •infrastructure maintenance tasks on Docker and Kubernetes platform
    •Must have knowledge of Linux kernel options such as control groups and defining application groups to restrict resources
    •Expertise in building automation tools in any of the programming language such as Java, Python, Ansible
    •Experience with monitoring tools such as Graphite, Grafana
    •Good Linux system administrator skills and TCP/IP network fundamentals
    •Strong analytical and debugging skills

    Preferred Skills:
    •Experience with managing Docker Swarm
    •In-depth experience with CI/CD pipelines

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for ensuring all Instructor Led Web Based Training (IWT) courses are designed for optimal online virtual delivery of instruction and manages and maintains the training materials resident within the VBA Virtual Schoolhouse, which serves as a “one stop shop” resource for both IWT students and Instructors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and upload necessary course materials, including lesson plans, slideshows, and handouts.
    • Support train-the-trainer sessions to familiarize presenters with the utilization of virtual training software and to prepare them for web-based instruction.
    • Pre-load all layouts, course content, and pod content for easy access during the course.
    • The Course Advocate is responsible for the instructional and technical support of presenters and participants during virtual instructor-led training courses through the management of web-conferencing software, creation of course materials, and facilitation of software functionality throughout the course.
    • Online Training Developers/Course Advocates send welcome emails to students with class dates and times. For some courses, Online Training Developers/Course Advocates also conduct a pre-training check during which they provide an informational overview to students about Microsoft Lync or Adobe Connect and the course, check student access to required VA systems, troubleshoot any technical difficulty students might be having, and address any training-related questions.
    • Conduct a pre-training equipment check to ensure all equipment is working properly and to troubleshoot any technical difficulties.
    • Welcome participants into the virtual learning environment at the beginning of courses by taking attendance, introducing features and functionalities of the system, and answering any training-related questions.
    • Support course instruction by navigating through training slides, enabling and coordinating interactive features in the virtual environment, and monitoring participant engagement and participation.
    • Communicate with presenters regarding participant progress throughout the training session.
    • Serve as a point-of-contact for participants and provide support throughout the training session.
    • Troubleshoot and fix technical and production issues that may arise.
    • Create and maintain daily reports of attendance, participant feedback, and instructional or system-related issues.
    • Work collaboratively with team members, including government and contractor support personnel, instructional systems designers, human performance technologists, developers, and management.

    Minimum Qualifications
